"A 3D model of electrical activation of the human heart"

Honorary Professor of Mathematics, University of Dundee, Scotland

Graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and technology on theoretical physics, PhD on biophysics from Institute of Biological Physics, Pushchino, Moscow region. Till 1990 research member on mathematical modelling at the Institute of Biological Physics, 1990-1992 visiting faculty at University of Utah, USA, since 1992 Faculty member of the Department of Theoretical Biology, Utrecht University, the Netherlands.

Research interests: Reaction-diffusion equations with application to biology and cardiology. Main research topic anatomically accurate modelling of the heart (since 1991), mechanisms of cardiac arrhythmias, anatomically accurate modelling on the human heart, organisation of ventricular fibrillation in the human heart. More recently cardiac electromechanics.
